...that I am in love with The Dark Knight.
It is, quite simply, the best movie of the year. I won't go and spoil anything (really, blogger should consider cuts like LiveJournal has; it's so much more convenient), but it was amazing. Above and beyond everything I'd thought it would be.
Christian Bale, as always, is a superb Batman, and an especially astounding Bruce Wayne. He reaches a part of his character that is at once darker and also softer, more human.
What really makes is a fantastic movie is The Joker, played by Heath Ledger. The Joker is really a new kind of villian; he's so insane that he's come around the bend back to sanity. It's such a sickeningly captivating performance, and I really think that Heath Ledger deserves a posthumous award for it.
The supporting cast (Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, etc.) is also astounding in their performance.
Christopher Nolan is a genius in movie-making.
... TO GO SEE THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T.
REALLY, IT'S A CRIME NOT TO.
(I REALLY WANT TO WATCH BATMAN BEGINS AGAIN.)
