Confession Number Seventeen

I must confess...

... that I am now seriously considering taking my brother's video off of youtube.

I have recieved the creepiest message yet. He even gave me his email address. EW!

Here is the message:

hey man,
You let your brother know that there are some men like me that are searching hard for a big foot man like him.
God bless him?
kenny

Oh God, this is only going to get worse.

Confession Number Sixteen

I must confess...

...that I am in love with Tom Felton, the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the HP movies, and it's all because of this:

Excuse my girlish squeeing, but god, his accent. When he says 'healing' I just get shivers all over. I know I'm being exactly like Justin by going guh over a song and sending it out to all my aquaintances (sorry sweetie, I love you, but that's exactly what you do), but he's sounds innocent and earnest and pure and british.

It's like an orgasm for the ears, seriously. (girls' ears mostly, unless that's your thing. :D)

*goes to listen to it five more times*

Confession Number Fifteen

I must confess...

... that I have been receiving a number of very odd messages on youtube based on this video I posted:

It is a mini-documentary about my brother's huge feet, and it was meant to be funny. But some youtube users think of it in a different way. In a way that is very creepy to me.

I knew this video would lead me to some creeps when I saw the related videos:

And then I got some comments on the video. The one I will show you is not all that bad in text, but if you click on this user's name, you'll find out much more about him... too much.

Here is the comment:

NEWFOOTJOY
that's an excellent documentary about big foot problems. i didn't expect such a quality, it's really nice and your brother is good speaker. good work! when do we espect second part?

In case you don't want to click on his profile, I'll show you a picture of one of his favorite youtube videos.

EWWW!

So now you might know why I'm a bit creeped out.

I have been thinking about removing the video, but I've heard that a lot of people like it so I won't. I need to make more videos.

Confession Number Fourteen

I must confess...

...that I have a love/hate relationship with Valentine's Day, which is, of course, completely fitting, seeing as it's Valentine's Day.

I think that it's sweet that there's a day set aside for love and whatnot, but at the same time, it's a terribly commercialized holiday set in place to make money by selling roses and chocolate and those cheezy little fold-in-half valentines that elementary school kids give out en masse, with saying like 'Let's fly high this Valentine's Day' and a picture from Transformers on it. (I'm going off of one of the valentines that my brother brought back.)

But I've done my ranting about Vday in past years, and I'm surprisingly passive today. It's probably just because I stole my brother's candy. It placates me.

(Also, I wanted to post the 14th confesstion on the 14th, because I like patterns like that, and 14 is also my favorite number.)

As a post-script, I'm also shamelessly stealing Justin's idea and taking suggestions for things to write about. Anything at all, go on.

hugs and kisses and sweet things aside
(along with the undoubtable vomit that comes with it),
dee.

Confession Number Thirteen

I must confess...

... that the primary reason I am writing this post is so I can be the first to post in February. It is a completely egotistical move, but I do not care because it is probably only important to me. In a way, it's like stealing February's virginity. And it's not everyday that you have the opportunity to steal a month's virginity.

Maybe I will make this confession a bit more interesting. An look inside my mind possibly. Or should it be a look inside my social life. Or...

I can confess that I will blog about any topic you want me to blog about. It can be in the form of a question, or you can just give me the topic to write about. Leave a comment in the chat bow to the right or leave a comment on this post.

I highly doubt that anyone will respond to this. This site does not get much traffic, even though I have tried and tried to advertise it.

I have the right to choose which topic/question to do. Who knows? I might do them all.

Confession Number Twelve

I must confess...

...that I have a certain flair for the written word. Admitedly, this isn't so much of a confession as a boast of skill, but it's been a while since I've written anything here, although I have confessions, heaps and heaps and heaps of them, some that I still need to gather the courage to admit to myself.

But back to my affinity for words.

I really realized this the a couple hours ago, on the ride home from school, when I was listening to Carry This Picture by Dashboard Confessional, and the first thing that popped into my head was, golden ripe peaches and the dip of a wooden boat at sunset and last-minute touch. Which, when I listen to the song, is exactly what it makes me think of.

Then I tried again, with the next song (Bend and Not Break): winter air and heartbeat in my ears and scratchy warm wool and thread-bare defiance.

This is odd for me, because when I do this, I don't listen to the lyrics, which is completely out of character for me. I love lyrics. I worship lyrics. Lyrics are words that I have the utmost envy for. If I could someday write lyrics, I would consider myself among that of Shakespeare. Words set to music, a harmony of two of the most soul-scorching mediums in existence, in my opinion.

For me to ignore lyrics is amazing in itself; the fact that I've started to turn the music in words is enough to make me absolutely giddy.

I really don't know that all that means, but I feel like I just found buried treasure.

I'm so odd, I know.

man, it takes a silly girl to lie about the dreams she has
lord, it takes a lonely one to wish that she had never dreamt at all
oh lord now, there you go with hope again

Confession Number Eleven

I must confess...

... that I have loved The Prince of Egypt since I first saw it. At the time I was only about six years old, but I knew that I liked it. It wasn't until about two years ago when I was searching through some CDs to put on my iPod that I realized how great this movie was.

I had a stack of CDs that I was uploading to itunes so my ipod would have at least some music on it when I first got it. I had gotten them from below our 30 year old stereo system. In the stack was The Prince of Egypt soundtrack. I thought, "What the hey! I'll put it on there." So it was put on my ipod. I think a song popped up on shuffle mode once and I was like, "Holy cow! This is awesome." And I fell in love.

I am so glad that I found this CD. It is so amazing! I am listening to When You Believe right now, and it is pure genius. It gets to you right at the heart. I absolutely love it! Stephen Schwartz is such an amazing composer. I love his stuff.

As for a favorite song, I don't think I can choose. It would be between "Freedom", "When You Believe", "Humanity", "The River", "It Is Only Beginning...", "Chariot Race", or "Through Heaven's Eyes". Oh, wait a second! That's like all of the songs. Oops!

If you have not heard this music I demand that you search for it online or listen to When You Believe on my myspace. It is great music.

I have even gone as far as to dream of producing this into a musical. I have already staged some of the songs and know some of the technical effects. It would definitely use shadow puppets because they looked so cool in The Lion King and they would be great for certain parts of this play. There would be a pyramid-like contraption built into the stage that would rise as people would stand at certain levels and the man would sing "Through Heaven's Eyes" at the top. Oh, and did I mention it is spinning? And for "Freedom," Miriam would be walking about the community talking about freedom of course and people would gradually join in. I have this stuff planned out so much more than I've told you. I really want this to be a musical.
