Confession Number Sixty-Three

I must confess...

... that we fail at keeping this blog update.

We have had no time in the past two-three months because we have been very involved with our school's musicals and with schoolwork itself.

Now for a real confession...

I must confess...

...that I LOVE Adam Lambert! His vocal ability is unbelievable.

Delia can attest for this because one day after school I was listening to his version of Mad World while having a musical orgasm because he is so amazing. I kept shouting, "HE HAS NO BREAKS!" (Yes. I am very aware that I am a music nerd. I get it.) He has no trouble going through his breaks and he has such amazing control over his voice. The past two weeks that I have watched him, my jaw has just fallen to the ground. Both times my mouth hung wide open. I can't get over how amazing his vocal abilities are. In Mad World he sings a C. A C! How many guys do you know that can sing a C like he does? I know 0. (And yes, I went to my keyboard and figured out what note he sang. NERD!)

You should just know that I think Adam Lambert is amazing. He may not appeal to the masses, but he sure is the best singer on that show. He has set a new bar that is not surpassed by any of the other contestants, vocally. And I am sure that Delia agrees 100% with me.

Here is a link to his performance of Mad World.

Confession Number Sixty-One

I must confess...

... that I have done absolutely no homework since this Christmas Break has started. I have no desire to even open a book. I hope that this doesn't mean I will be doing loads of homework the Saturday and Sunday before I return to school.

I did do some work today. I worked on my lines and songs for the musical I'm a part of in February. Besides that, I've done nothing....

Okay. I admit it. I did do SOME other homework on December 26 when I was bored at my grandma's house. But it was only about a page of reading in my history book (which I was supposed to have done the week before break started :-P ).

I hate even thinking about homework right now.

Would you like a list of things I have to do? No? Well, I don't care! Here ya go:
  • Edit a short movie for English class
  • Read over 20 pages of European History and take notes
  • Do Physics problems (I can't even find my book/binder to know how many)
  • Work on a Physics project about biodiesel (which is totally going to fall apart with all of the rehearsals in the next month)
  • Memorize L'Ultima Canozone & work on If With All You Hearts if I make it past the first round of this contest
  • Memorize Act 1 by Friday 1/9/09 (<-- i said 09!)
  • Rehearsals everyday pretty much
  • Hang Out with friends :-)

You know what? I think that's enough. I don't want to know what else I have to do.

I want to bite someone.

Confession Number Fifty-Nine

I must confess...

... that I absolutely love the month of December.

This month is filled with so much joy, and spirit, and love! And I love it. (Just thinking about it gives me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling.)

Although December is so flipping awesome, it can also be very hectic and insane...

You see, December = Performing Arts to the MAX.

There are so many concerts and performances, auditions and rehearsals to be at. I just took a look at my schedule for December, which isn't even updated, and I have some kind of performance just about every weekend. But, the thing is, I love it. I love getting up on the stage and performing for the audience. One of the most satisfying feelings is to see your audience enjoy your performance.

I am very much looking forward to this year's December. I think I will try to appreciate the people around me more. Without them, I would be nothing.

Enjoy your December this year. Think of how blessed you are and remember to give the world's greatest gift to those around you - love.

Confession Number Twenty-Eight

I must confess...

... that I am being sucked into getting an iPod Touch.

Due to my recent experiment with iPod - Toilet solution caused my iPod to die, I have been waiting to buy myself a new mp3 player. I feel like Apple is the way to go. Although Microsoft's Zune has some pretty cool features like the unlimited music pass or the wireless sharing of music with other Zune owners, Apple is clearly the leader in mp3 technology.

I was very excited about the iPhone, but I knew that there was no way I was going to be able to afford it. Also, it was completely unneccesary because I already had my iPod. But when the iPod Touch came out, I wanted to touch that music player all over!

I could easily afford to buy an iPod Touch because of my summer job and saved birthday money. However, the recent unveiling of the iPhone 3G at $199 just makes the $249 iPod Touch unappealing. Many say that the $199 iPhone is just to pull in customers and sign a contract with AT&T where Apple gets part of the revenue. This is not true however, because of the recent Apple and AT&T contract saying that AT&T will not give any portion of the revenue to Apple, making the statement preposterous.

I'm guessing there will be a major price drop for the iPod Touch on July 11th with the introduction of the $199 iPhone 3G. So, I have decided to wait until the 11th of July to go mp3 shopping.

Confession Number Sixteen

I must confess...

...that I am in love with Tom Felton, the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the HP movies, and it's all because of this:

Excuse my girlish squeeing, but god, his accent. When he says 'healing' I just get shivers all over. I know I'm being exactly like Justin by going guh over a song and sending it out to all my aquaintances (sorry sweetie, I love you, but that's exactly what you do), but he's sounds innocent and earnest and pure and british.

It's like an orgasm for the ears, seriously. (girls' ears mostly, unless that's your thing. :D)

*goes to listen to it five more times*

Confession Number Twelve

I must confess...

...that I have a certain flair for the written word. Admitedly, this isn't so much of a confession as a boast of skill, but it's been a while since I've written anything here, although I have confessions, heaps and heaps and heaps of them, some that I still need to gather the courage to admit to myself.

But back to my affinity for words.

I really realized this the a couple hours ago, on the ride home from school, when I was listening to Carry This Picture by Dashboard Confessional, and the first thing that popped into my head was, golden ripe peaches and the dip of a wooden boat at sunset and last-minute touch. Which, when I listen to the song, is exactly what it makes me think of.

Then I tried again, with the next song (Bend and Not Break): winter air and heartbeat in my ears and scratchy warm wool and thread-bare defiance.

This is odd for me, because when I do this, I don't listen to the lyrics, which is completely out of character for me. I love lyrics. I worship lyrics. Lyrics are words that I have the utmost envy for. If I could someday write lyrics, I would consider myself among that of Shakespeare. Words set to music, a harmony of two of the most soul-scorching mediums in existence, in my opinion.

For me to ignore lyrics is amazing in itself; the fact that I've started to turn the music in words is enough to make me absolutely giddy.

I really don't know that all that means, but I feel like I just found buried treasure.

I'm so odd, I know.

man, it takes a silly girl to lie about the dreams she has
lord, it takes a lonely one to wish that she had never dreamt at all
oh lord now, there you go with hope again

Confession Number Three

I must confess...

... that I love Celine Dion.

This woman is one amazing woman, with one amazing voice. I've fallen in love with Celine and her voice. There is something that is in her voice that is so much different than anyone else's. I really really wanted to go see her Las Vegas show, A New Day. But of course, that didn't happen. You can read about a road trip I planned to Las Vegas on my personal blog.

This woman can conduct electricity (literally*). Her personality is so crazy. And I think that I like this because it is so much like me. She seems like so much fun! And she loves her job, which is very honorable.

The other day, my friend (the same one planning to go on the road trip) brought me Celine Dion's CD from 1996. And I listened to it as I did about 4 1/2 hours of homework. It was so exciting because I don't own any of her CDs. However, my main computer with iTunes on it is broken. So I can't put it on my iPod.

My other friend also did another amazing thing for me. They were at Target and they had recently heard of my love for Celine. They saw a sample of Celine's fragrance, Enchanting, and decided to get it for me. They totally shocked me the next day at school. I told myself that I would not open it until I got home. But less than 20 minutes after getting it, I couldn't stand not knowing. So I opened the package and proceeded to place it on my wrists. The smell was wonderful!

I was sitting next to my friend, Lindsay, when I put it on. All she could do was laugh. But the next day, she made my jaw fall to the ground. She had brought in a whole bottle of Enchanting. It was so amazing. I couldn't stop smiling. She had said it was her mom's and she didn't want it anymore. It was a truly amazing experience. I made videos on youtube about Celine. But they have been made private (sorry). One night, I sprayed Enchanting on my pillow, and smelt Celine all night.

I worry about who is going to read this.
