Confession Number Thirty

I must confess...

...that I'm only posting this because I wanted to be number 30.

Okay, that's a lie. I actually wanted to fangirl a bit more. So, may I present you with this picture:

Because Skandar's shirt. Is like. At the absolute top of The List Of Things You Should Not Own Or Even Spare A Glance At Unless You're A Lumberjack Or Going On A Picnic.

And yet.

It somehow adds to his attractiveness to me that he would wear that to a movie premiere, not to mention the biggest movie premiere in London ever. Because it was. The biggest.

He is completely socially awkward with no regard for red carpet decorum.

I adore this boy.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader can't come out fast enough.

Okay, and also:

I am completely Team Skandarwin all the way, but WillMo (and BinBons, but to a lesser extent for me, I don't know, he has a sort of metro vibe that doesn't appeal to me as much, not that I wouldn't go absolutely crazy if I ever met him) is just attractive beyond all reason. The blondness and the jawline and the eyes (they are sosoblue).

I have a thing for all of the above.

I'm sorry that all my posts of late have been completely girly, but I find it necessary. :)

PS. I'm thinking about deleting my personal blog. It's just useless to have since I have a LiveJournal and this to think about, nevermind my poorly neglected xanga. Thoughts?

Confession Number Twenty-Nine

I must confess...

...that the summer is the time of year that I get all jazzed up about celebs, trends, fashion, and, most of all, nails. The summer is the only time I get to actually care about my nails, since during school, I never have time to fix them up or paint them (excepting for special occasions).

Admittedly, this is also partially due to the fac that I've recently discovered All Lacquered Up, a blog dedicated specifically to nails, which I'm so very into right now.

This summer I've been especially intrigued by the orange nails trend. (Rihanna is sort of amazing. Her skin tone plus that color is gorgeous!)

So the other day I was out grocery shopping with my dad, and I wandered into the beauty section as I am wont to do (I can't help it! I'm weak! And there was a sale on Herbal Essences products! It's not my fault!) and picked up a bottle of Lycra Wear 10 by Rimmel London in 347 Tequila Sunrise. It happened to be the last one on the shelf (not surprising, as it's apparently part of last season's collection) and I decided to get it on a whim.

I just put it on yesterday (3 coats) and I'm sort of in like with it. It's just slightly less garish than a traffic cone, with a bit more red than yellow. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the camera anywhere so I can't get a picture of it. In any case, it's the perfect Anderson Orange, so I know what I'll be wearing to football games come fall.

So, thoughts on the orange nail trend? I personally am opting for the less neon shades, or ones that have a bit more coral to them, since the yellow tints tend to make my Asian skin tone pasty-looking.

Confession Number Twenty-Eight

I must confess...

... that I am being sucked into getting an iPod Touch.

Due to my recent experiment with iPod - Toilet solution caused my iPod to die, I have been waiting to buy myself a new mp3 player. I feel like Apple is the way to go. Although Microsoft's Zune has some pretty cool features like the unlimited music pass or the wireless sharing of music with other Zune owners, Apple is clearly the leader in mp3 technology.

I was very excited about the iPhone, but I knew that there was no way I was going to be able to afford it. Also, it was completely unneccesary because I already had my iPod. But when the iPod Touch came out, I wanted to touch that music player all over!

I could easily afford to buy an iPod Touch because of my summer job and saved birthday money. However, the recent unveiling of the iPhone 3G at $199 just makes the $249 iPod Touch unappealing. Many say that the $199 iPhone is just to pull in customers and sign a contract with AT&T where Apple gets part of the revenue. This is not true however, because of the recent Apple and AT&T contract saying that AT&T will not give any portion of the revenue to Apple, making the statement preposterous.

I'm guessing there will be a major price drop for the iPod Touch on July 11th with the introduction of the $199 iPhone 3G. So, I have decided to wait until the 11th of July to go mp3 shopping.

Confession Number Twenty-Seven

I must confess...

... that I love Google.

What a wonderful company! I absolutely love almost all of their services. From their email to their phone search service.

I do have a gmail account that I use regularly and I love typing in google.com to find my personalized google webpage. (I sound like I am being payed to endorse this company.) By simply typing in a few words, I can find exactly what I'm looking for. It's so fantastic.

I also love to use their calendar service. It helps me to stay organized. And the fact that I can print it out and carry it with me to scheduling-related events just makes me feel warm inside. Google Docs can also be a big help when you need to save a document on one computer and then print it out on a different one. You can even open documents sent through email in Google Docs. It automatically transfers them into Google Docs if you tell it too and you can simply read the document online, even if you don't have Word.

Google Maps can be a savior to me sometimes. If I need to know what the roads actually look like and how houses are set up, I can quickly hit Satellite View and it will show me a zoomed in shot of the roads and buildings around them. And Google Earth is just plain amazing!

Google Translate is also a quick and easy way that I can translate some Spanish words that I'm not familiar with.

And the fact that Google owns YouTube just makes my heart flutter. Oh, and you would not be able to read this blog if there was no Google because Google owns Blogger.

Right this minute, Google is creating even more magnificent features and products. Their Android coding service just makes my intestines giggle (that's a good thing!). And I can't wait to see what Google has in store for them.

(I feel like this blog just reaffirms why I am an Internet Whore)

Confession Number Twenty-Six

I must confess...

... that I hate it when people tell me I am too skinny.

I have had at least three people tell me that in the past month. And the thing is, I am not too skinny. I am at a healthy weight. I think that when I get to 15 % below the normal weight for a 6'1" male, you will be able to tell.

If anything, I would rather be skinnier than gain weight. The whole idea of putting on extra fat just does not interest me. In fact, I think the idea is disgusting.

My theory is that the people who tell me I am too skinny are really insecure about their own bodies, and in order to make themselves feel better, they say that someone whose body is normal is too skinny, implying that the body is malnourished. They are really just trying to make themselves feel better about their bodies. I pity them.

Plus, I know the difference between skinny and too skinny.

Too skinny is when a person can be in the fetal position, yet you can still see and count each individual rib on the person. Too skinny is when one must sit on a sweatshirt all the time because it hurts their tailbone to sit directly on a chair. Too skinny is having hip bones that jut out as if they are about to pop out of the body. Too skinny is being able to fit one's hand around one's thigh. This is too skinny:

So please do not tell me I am too skinny.

Confession Number Twenty-Five

I must confess...

...that in the aftermath of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, I've had an ongoing craze with it. Justin can testify to this (along with Cori, because she is the Encourager). I saw it three times in the first two weeks it was out (once with Cori, once with Justin and Cori, and once with the bf), and I think they can all back me up when I say, "Dude, that movie wins."

Justin laughed so hard he started crying. True story.

I even wrote my own commentary for Cori as a late bday gift, which I'm thinking about posting on my personal blog and linking here.

So here are some icons and pictures to emphasiz how much I love this movie and everyone in it.

I've watched a ridiculous amount of interveiws with these actors. I approve of them.

HOWEVER, as much as I am fond of WilMos, Ben Barnes continues to baffle me. I mean, I thought he acted decently in the movie, despite his admittedly mockable hair, dress/gauchos ensemble, and attempt at a Spanish accent. But then I saw this picture (along with commentary from char):

I mean, really. What the hell is he doing? Chicken dance? The Charleston? The other four are looking at him like, DUDE, WTH? WE'RE TRYING TO POSE FOR PICTURES. (Anna: "God, I can't believe I had to kiss that. Oh, and lookit my pretty dress.")

But I've already argued this point too much. So, moving on.

You know what ELSE I approve of? (to a much higher degree, of course.)

Skandar Keynes.

Seriously, I can't even get over how much I love this boy. I mean, I have never been so awed by the power of puberty. Three years, and he changes from the little whiny kid that we all wanted to stab to this:

I mean, seriously gaiz. Srsly.

And last, and probably the best, is a fun little graphic that I picked up from soraki, whom I was chattin' with earlier.

She = WIN.
This = LOLOLOLOL + TRUTH.

So yeah. That's what I've been doing. ;D
(and yeah, I spend way too much time on livejournal.)

Confession Number Twenty-Four

I must confess...

... that I have gained about five pounds in the past week and a half because of Graduation/Birthday Parties.

I'm sure I could have just watched what I ate more often, but I didn't. But now I have devoted this upcoming week to getting back into shape.

I started today with a ten mile bike ride. I was surprised to see how out of shape I have become in the last month.

I plan to run in the mornings every other day and swim fairly often.

Now that you know my work out routine - Join me! (But don't (although it would be nice to have a running buddy))
